More information on Data -

According to Dr. Shawn DuBravac, author of the book Digital Destiny (Copyright 2015) the world’s mass adoption of digital technologies portends the beginning of a new era for humanity, one that will rival the invention of the printing press for its transformational effects on every person, country and institution in the world. When analysing data - Clarity, after all, doesn’t always lead to comfort. Before you can find order, you have to go through the chaos. In 2013, researchers at SINTEF, a Norwegian research organisation, reported that 90 percent of the world’s data had been generated over the past two years. Every second, over 205,000 new gigabytes are created – or 150 million books.
Data Visualisation firm DOMO calculated that as of 2014, every minute …

…204 million emails are sent;
…Google receives over 4 million search queries;
…2.46 million pieces of content are shared on Facebook;
…277,000 twets are sent;
…216,000 photos are posted on Instagram;
…48,000apps are downloaded from Apple’s App Store
…72 hours of new videos are uploaded to YouTube
